Cigar Club Meeting Notes
December 8th, 2011
The Monte Critsto Society Society Space Coast Cigar Club held our annual year end dinner and big prize give away meeting at the Cocoa Masonic hall on Thursday December 8th. The hall served up a great steak dinner with lots of sides and desert.
The meeting was a week later than usual due to the club cruise the week before to Nassau. 15 club members and spouses went on the cruise and had a great time.
We are also at a new location for the time being because Maui’s has closed down. We will meet at the Masonic hall again in January and decide from there where our future venues may be.
New officers were “elected”… more like volunteered and accepted. Buck is back to run our crew and some new blood has offered their time and service. Notably, Leon Mcraney will be the new VP and Brad Parks will be the secretary. Bob Visconte,, Susan Crenshaw and Larry Peck will be back as officers. The officers from this past year did an outstanding job and expressed their thanks to the club for the support.
Brian Dixon did a heck of a job as the prize guy this year and served it up big time for this last meeting: prizes galore and some members donated some nice stuff for raffle and auction. The auction brought in well over a hundred dollars for the coffers.
Being the kind hearted people we are, we wanted to extend our concern with donations to Wounded Warriors and The Salvation Army. We enjoy our smokes, a drink and friendship and we do care about others.
If you haven’t been to a club meeting in awhile, come in January and have a say in how, where, when… you would like to have the club meet and things you’d like to do.
Best wishes for a very happy Christmas and safe holidays. We hope to see big crowd next year. Our next meeting will be on January 5th at the Cocoa Masonic hall on Lake drive (about 3 blocks north and east of Maui’s
